The Bible

We believe the Bible is the true and unchanging word of God, containing all that we need to know about living a life of faith.

God

We believe there is one God, creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Man

We believe men and women were created in the image of God and designed to enjoy Him forever; but because of our rebellion and sin, we are separated from God and are powerless to reverse our corruption.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the Son of God who came to us as a man, voluntarily died to pay for our sins, and rose from the dead to secure eternal life for all who put their trust in Him. Jesus is the only way to be reconciled with God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent into the world to reveal to us the truth of Jesus as Lord, convict us of our need for a Savior, and give us power both to believe and to live a life pleasing to God.

Grace

We believe that salvation through Jesus is a free gift which we cannot earn or deserve; therefore, it is not necessary to try to clean ourselves up before turning to Jesus.

The Church

We believe that all those who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord belong to The Church, the universal Body of Christ. Church of the Holy Cross is a member of the Anglican Church in North America, which is a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a tradition with a rich history rooted in Biblical truth. We affirm our belief in historic Christianity as revealed in the Bible and summarized in the three creeds: the Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian; and we worship God according to the structure found in The Book of Common Prayer.
