Jon Minns, Rector

Reverend Jon Minns has served as our rector since 2014. Jon is honored to serve Jesus and His church in this capacity. Jon and his wife Celeste have been married for over 30 years and they have four adult children. Jon is a graduate of George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) and Trinity School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA). Jon was ordained to the Diaconate in May of 2009 and ordained to the Priesthood in October 2010. From 2010 to 2014, Jon served as the assistant rector at St. Paul’s Church in Haymarket, VA. Jon has a passion for sharing his faith, for teaching biblical truth, and for leading this wonderful congregation. When asked what is Jon’s favorite thing about CHC he immediately says “the people” he says, “it is amazing to see how God is at work in and through the people of CHC.” This is why you’ll hear him repeatedly say, “CHC is the place to be!”. SHARON PULLEN, ASSISTING PRIEST

Sharon has been a member of CHC since 1994 and has served in a variety of staff and lay ministry roles. In recent years, she has been called to serve as an ordained priest. Through many seasons of change in the church, Sharon has witnessed God’s steadfast faithfulness and protection over the mission of CHC and counts it a deep joy to serve as a pastor among such a beautiful community of believers. Sharon earned her PhD in Psychology from NC State University in 1998 and her Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in 2023. She was ordained to the priesthood in 2025. She and her husband Robert have been married over 35 years and have four adult children and two grandchildren. Sharon also serves as a volunteer pastor in the prison system. She is passionate about following Jesus into the broken places of a hurting world and joining him in his work of salvation, healing and reconciliation. Inside the prison, Sharon encounters the powerful truth of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Eric Terlizzi, Worship pastor

Eric Terlizzi has served as our worship pastor since 2015. Eric has served Jesus and His church as a worship leader for over 25 years. Eric and his wife Dolly, have three children. Eric is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Music. Eric also teaches in the Music Department at St. David’s School here in Raleigh. Eric also owns and operates a recording studio. In his free time (and he occasionally gets a little free time) Eric is a cyclist. He is even on a team and competes in races all over the state. When asked what he likes most about cycling he says, “Going downhill”.
